The FW de Klerk Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of its Constitutional Rights and Constitutional Advocacy Programmes. These two separate programmes will aim to better achieve the Foundation’s goal of making South Africa’s constitutional democracy a reality for all citizens.

THE FW DE KLERK FOUNDATION CALLS FOR COMPLETE ELIMINATION OF SCHOOL PIT TOILETS
The FW de Klerk Foundation encourages Minister Gwarube and her department to finish the task of eliminating pit toilets in schools to ensure that no learner is left behind in accessing safe and dignified sanitation.
CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND BUSINESS BREAKFAST BRIEFING
On 9 April, the FW de Klerk Foundation hosted a breakfast briefing for representatives of various chambers of commerce and business including those from the Western Cape, the AHI Western Cape, Canada, China, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Turkey at its office in Cape Town. The Foundation wishes to express its gratitude to all those who attended.
ELECTORAL REFORM CONSULTATION PANEL MAKES PUBLIC PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS, THE FW DE KLERK FOUNDATION ASKS FOR MORE SINGLE MEMBER CONSTITUENCIES (SMCs)
The Electoral Reform Consultation Panel tabled its three preliminary recommendations today on how South Africa’s present 100% Proportional Representation electoral system for national and provincial elections should be reformed and may impact the 2029 election.
