On Thursday, 28 November 2019, the Centre for Constitutional Rights (CFCR) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) hosted the fourth in a series of discussions for 2019.

The topic was “Unpacking the National Health Insurance Bill”, and the CFCR invited experts to analyse the implications of the National Health Insurance Bill (NHI Bill), as well as the feasibility of the provisions.

The speakers were Mr Michael Settas, member of the Free Market Foundations’ Health Policy Unit, and Mr Russell Rensburg, Director of the Rural Health Advocacy Project.

A lively, interactive Q&A followed the speakers’ presentaions, where the audience were afforded the opportunity to pose questions. The event was attended by members of the public, civil society, academia and more.
