The Foundation has long supported the work of Autism Western Cape, which seeks to provide information, as well as advisory, advocacy and support services to those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Iris House Children’s Hospice provides professional community and Hospice-based respite, overnight and end-of-life care for special needs children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Both organisations are based in the Western Cape, and provide their services free of charge to special needs children and young people, and their families.

In addition to ‘67 minutes’ of service on Mandela Day, the Foundation and the CFCR are committed to the empowerment and restoration of dignity of all South Africans, including persons with disabilities. This includes the promotion and protection of their rights, as enshrined in our Constitution – the legacy of leaders such as Mr Mandela and Mr De Klerk.
