As you may know, the FW de Klerk Foundation assists disadvantaged children and children with disabilities – primarily here in the Western Cape. Thanks to the support of the Nedbank South African Charity Golf Day – of which I am the Patron – the Foundation was able to make another contribution to Iris House this year – which I understand will be used for the construction of a reception area at the Hospice. Not only will this assist with access control, but more importantly, will provide employment as a receptionist for at least one young person with a disability.
It is a great honour for us – in this small way – to assist Iris House in its inspiring work.
