FOUNDATION JEAN-CHARLES-BONENFANT VISIT
On 4 March, the FW de Klerk Foundation hosted the the Foundation Jean-Charles-Bonenfant parliamentary interns for a breakfast meeting.
Included in the Foundation Jean-Charles-Bonenfant internship programme, five chosen representatives go on an exploratory mission abroad to carry out a comparative study of Québec’s parliamentary system with that of another country.
This year, the interns, Juliette Beaulieu-Lavoie, Clovis Brochu, Arnaud Dufour, Élye Plourde and Vincent Roy, have come to South Africa to examine the issue of social cohesion and coexistence, and met with the Foundation to further their mission and learn more about the Foundation’s work.
Programme managers, Daniela Ellerbeck, Brenda Steyn and Ismail Joosub, as well as Christo van der Rheede, the FW de Klerk Foundation’s Executive Director, discussed their current projects, as well as issues currently facing South Africans.
To conclude the meeting, the Foundation’s team answered a few questions and took the interns through the Centre for the Constitutional Transformation of South Africa (CCTSA).
