South Africa’s future freedom, stability and prosperity depend directly on our ability to maintain our Constitution. To this end, the FW de Klerk Foundation created the Centre for Constitutional Rights (CFCR). The CFCR operates as a unit of the Foundation.
The CFCR
- monitors any developments – including draft legislation – that might affect the Constitution
- participates actively in the national debate on constitutional issues
- informs people and organisations of their constitutional rights
- assists people and organisations to claim their rights
