Born and educated in Germany, Christina Teichmann has built up comprehensive experience and expertise in South Africa’s political as well as socio-economic development over the past 25 years.
For more than two decades, she worked in South Africa for the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), a German political foundation affiliated to the Christian Democrats (CDU), which aims to promote democracy, good governance and the rule of law in Germany and worldwide.
In her role as senior KAS project manager at the Foundation’s parliamentary liaison office in Cape Town, she represented KAS in the Western Cape and was responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of KAS events in cooperation with local partners, such as political parties, government departments, universities, think tanks, civil society organisations and the media.
Christina Teichmann holds a master’s degree in education (M.Ed.) from Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg, an M.Ed. from the University of Landau and a master’s in philosophy (M.Phil.) from the University of Cape Town, specialising in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. She now uses her vast knowledge and insights into South Africa’s political landscape for political consultancy work and for her role as Vice Chairperson of the FW de Klerk Foundation.
