The FW de Klerk Foundation promotes and preserves FW de Klerk’s presidential heritage by supporting the causes for which he worked during his presidency. Read more about our mission and activities.

Donations and Giving


Yes. Online donations are managed via PayFast. Read more about their security measures.

Yes. You will receive a receipt by mail for every contribution you make to the Foundation, whether you donate by mail or online. This receipt can be used when filing your income taxes.

Yes. Bequests are welcome. More information about how to leave a bequest – and other types of donations to the Foundation – can be viewed on our donations page. Alternatively, send us your details via our contact form, and we will get in touch with you.

The FW de Klerk Foundation is not a grant-making organisation, and does not distribute grants, bursaries, or funding to outside organisations or individuals for their projects. We do, however, occasionally distribute funds on behalf of overseas donors. Read more about the International Donor Support Programme.
